The Crusaders expect All Blacks captain Richie McCaw to have fully recovered from his rib injury in time for their Super Rugby Semi-Final.
Saturday's convincing victory over the Highlanders has secured the Crusaders a direct passade into a home Semi-Final, to be played at AMI Stadium on Saturday night 26 July.
McCaw sustained a broken rib in the June Test series against England but coach Todd Blackadder expects to have him back on the training field in the coming days.
"He's probably a week away," Blackadder told Newstalk ZB.
"Probably would be ready to take contact at the end of this week and so he'll be ready for that and hopefully he passes that, gets the tick there and he's available for selection the week after."
