Force players will wear their club socks when they take on the Blues at nib Stadium on Saturday 28 June as part of the ‘Club & Country’ theme.
Each player will wear the socks of his respective Western Australian club, as part of the tribute to the clubs and nationalities that make up and support Western Australian rugby.
As part of the ‘Club & Country’ celebration, there will be a parade around the ground prior to the match featuring the many clubs and countries that are represented in the community that supports rugby in WA.
Force captain Matt Hodgson, from the Wanneroo club, says he and the team are proud to be wearing their club colours in the match.
“This is a great opportunity for us to pay respect to those clubs and individuals in our community that have worked so tirelessly to grow rugby in Western Australia,” he said.
“Our clubs are vital for us in contributing to the overall health of the code in WA and this is just a small way for us to recognise all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes.
“As a proud Roo Dog, I’m looking forward to donning my green, white and red socks against the Blues.”
